Our Focus
To achieve our vision, the Apple STEM Network's collective impact work revolves around five major objectives. Each objective is accompanied by a set of strategies and aligned programs. As our collective impact work has grown, we have leveraged additional funding to support and amplify our efforts.
Goal 1
We are dedicated to promoting Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) for all in our community. Through targeted outreach, we strive to raise awareness about the importance of STEM education and clearly outline pathways to regional STEM careers.
Goal 2
We ignite interest in local industries by offering authentic field experiences, STEM challenges, and career preparation and launch opportunities for students. This includes apprenticeships, internships, and mentorships with local industry and community partners.
Goal 3
We foster a culture that recognizes the resources needed to support underrepresented students in their transition from early learning through post-secondary training and workforce career pathways in STEM. We prioritize the involvement of schools, communities, and families to ensure comprehensive support.
Goal 4
We actively encourage educators to integrate technology and project-based learning into their teaching practices. By providing STEM professional learning opportunities and facilitating engagement with community and business partners, we support and empower local schools and educators.
Goal 5
We maintain and cultivate relationships with regional stakeholders and industry professionals, actively supporting the long-term success of our economic growth. By working together, we aim to foster economic development and prosperity within our communities.
